The Bounty Hunter only has one path, Professional, which has no effects. Likewise the Bounty Hunter has no relationship interactions with other party members.
All of the Bounty Hunter's skills are already mastered and cannot be upgraded further. When hired, the Bounty Hunter will have two random quirks, one positive and one negative, as well as one random trinket. If there is only one hero left in the party, the Bounty Hunter will not replace but accompany that hero instead. The player may hire the Bounty Hunter for the cost of 4 Candles of Hope the Bounty Hunter will then replace a hero of choice from the party and will remain with the expedition until the following Inn, at which point the original hero will return. When available for hire, his poster will appear above the fireplace at the Inn. The Bounty Hunter differs from the other Heroes in Darkest Dungeon II in that he cannot be selected during party creation at The Crossroads but must be hired during the run.
